OUR STORY

ACHTUSIG is a Zurich based family business founded in 2012 by the cousins Stefan Kunz and Thomas Müller at the age of 16 and 18. Since then, the vision of the brand is to represent the city of Zurich and its inhabitants in the form of clothing and accessories.

Impressed by the graffiti scene, the cousins started to draw diligently. In a further step, the inspirations of the beloved city of Zurich were graphically implemented, placed on T-shirts and procured in Europe. Whether the "Züritram" or Zurich street signs, the created products were eye-catchers.

Proud of the first collection, the team took on the task of getting the products out to the people. Lively photo shoots in the city generated content for the still young social media platforms. With flyers, stickers, banners, events as well as artwork throughout the city, the collections were loudly advertised with little monetary means.

Successfully. After some cold calls with big retailers, the important partner BIG BOYZ of the fashion house MODISSA could be won. For the first time ACHTUSIG was able to sell stationary and that at the prestigious Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich. Quickly the Blick, 20 Minuten, Tages-Anzeiger, NZZ as well as many other media channels became aware of the young wild ones.

The profit was reinvested, so five more collections could be created. Cult designs such as the Zürileu, the Luxemburgerli, the Swan and many more were created.

The ever-increasing popularity cemented the name Achtusig as a synonym for the city of Zurich. Today 2022, the Zurich lifestyle brand celebrates its 10th anniversary. Of course with new products.
